Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly’s wedding was one of the most talked about marriages of the decade. The two decided to get married in Niagra Falls in an attempt to discourage co-workers to make the long drive. The plan quickly failed after Michael Scott, manager at the time, encouraged all employees to attend. On the morning of Jim and Pam’s wedding, Pam accidentally ripped her wedding veil and nearly breaks down after such a stressful morning. To ease the situation, Jim cuts his tie in half and the couple runs away from the church and are married by the captain of the ship, “Maid of the Mist.” After saying their vows, they make their way back to the ceremony and are in for quite a suprise.
